2025 Department of Public Works Calendar and Fall Cleanup
The DPW has provided the following dates for residents to be aware of:
Municipal Water Service Line Inspection and Inventory Project
Hydro excavating of residential curb shut offs at randomized sites within the village. The purpose is to identify and report the type of water service line material in use. Requirement by EGLE.
30 sites between the months of May 2025 thru October 2025
Bio Bags & Small Bundled Tree Limbs (< 4 ft): Mondays Only: May 12th thru Sept 29th
If pickup falls on a village holiday, DPW will be there on the next business day.
Friday Morning Drop Off (By Appointment Only, 9AM to Noon): Large or bulk yard waste material drop-off requests for Herman Rd disposal site is available to village residents only. Call DPW before 3:00pm on Wednesdays to schedule. Name, address, amount, and type of material for disposal are required for site access.
Fall Curbside Pick-up
Village Residents: Have all refuse at curbside by 7:00 a.m. Monday morning. American Waste will make one pass down each street.
What: No more than 15 bags (or equivalent per household)
One large white good or appliance
Refrigerators, freezers or air-conditioners must have Freon removed and tagged by certified technician. Any unit not properly tagged will not be removed.
PLEASE NONE OF THE FOLLOWING:
Liquids (paint cans must be open and dry)
Yard Waste, clippings, brush, leaves
Chemicals or toxic substances
Batteries, florescent light ballasts
No Construction Waste
TIRES ARE LIMITED TO 2 PER HOUSEHOLD
