The Village of Suttons Bay Cross-Connection Control program is required by the State of Michigan. Its purpose is to protect the village water supply and our customers from potential backflow/siphoning hazards that could introduce contamination into the water system. We have partnered with HydroCorp to ensure clean, safe drinking water and regulatory compliance, which is our top priority. Starting this November, HydroCorp will begin initial inspections, compliance inspections, and re-inspections at individual residential homes within the utility served by the public water supply for cross-connections.
Inspections will be conducted in accordance with the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE), Drinking Water and Environmental Health Division Cross Connection Control Rules.
Please read through the weblink to learn more about our cross-connection control program and what to expect.
